For external cages, a galvanised finish is often required for weather protection. This does mean however that the design materials have to change so that distortion does not take place in the hot dip galvanize process. Inevitably this does lead to higher costs so if you can accept our standard powder coated finish, we recommend re-painting every 4-5 years to keep the cages in good condition.
